"The Blue Moon brings us an extra dose of magic. While a Blue Moon isn't blue, the symbology of the color blue endures. Blue is the color of communication. It is associated with the throat chakra and signifies the expression of our most authentic truths. Blue Moons can shed light on how we communicate with ourselves and others. They ask us if we are speaking our most profound truths or suppressing our authentic voice.

The rarity of the Blue Moon and its power to connect us to our voices give it a greater ability to lower the veil between the conscious and the subconscious minds. We can communicate with our unconscious thoughts, patterns, and feelings on a deeper level during a Blue Moon. It's a time to access the energies that lie dormant within us that are asking to be seen and heard."

"Pisces reminds you this Full Moon, and always, that when you are in the flow, you do not need to force things. You do not need to control or perfect anything. The more you let go of attachments and expectations, the more you will feel aligned with your life. You do not need to do anything to be in the flow of your life. You just need to release the barriers within you that prevent you from receiving what you need. This release is the work of this Full Moon.

It starts when you raise your awareness to accept all experiences and understand the larger vision of your energy. Over this Full Moon, break free of your distractions and travel to a deeper level of understanding of the world around you. See past the superficial goings-on of the world and start to see the energy that comprises it all. See the pathways of evolution and the patterns that form. Feel your connection to the Universe and know that through this connection you are able to receive everything you need for your soul’s journey. Work to let go of how you expect life to be and start accepting how it is. In this acceptance, see the beauty of your soul shining through the light of the Moon"

"August’s full Moon was traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer. Some alternative names for the August moon are:

Flying Up Moon is a Cree term describing the time when young birds are finally ready to take the leap and learn to fly. Corn Moon (Algonquin, Ojibwe), Harvest Moon (Dakota), and Ricing Moon (Anishinaabe) signify that this is the time to gather maturing crops. Along the same vein, the Assiniboine people named this period Black Cherries Moon, referring to when chokecherries become ripe. The Tlingit people of the Pacific Northwest traditionally called this time of the season the Mountain Shadows Moon.

The term Blue Moon is most commonly used when we have two full Moons in a single month. The August 30 supermoon will be the closest, biggest, and brightest full supermoon of 2023. It’s exceptionally close to the Earth: 222,043 miles. The next time we’ll have a closer full supermoon is November 5, 2025, when the moon will be 221,817 miles from Earth.

Affirmations for Pisces Power

"Pisces represents the ocean—vast, boundless, and connected to everything. This energy is the thread that ties the Universe together..."
~@SpiritDaughter

The Full Moon in Pisces reminds us that we are awash in an ocean of information, and quite a bit of this is the language we speak and think, the words which fill our lives. In her many bestselling works on the power of language in personal growth and healing, Louise Hay taught that every thing you think, and everything you speak, your internal dialogue, are all a stream of affirmations.

What we say is what we are calling into being, whether positive or negative. We are almost continuously verbalizing, creating, and affirming our life experiences through language. Another key is that affirmations open a door, they are the point at which we say to our subconscious mind, “I am taking responsibility. I am aware that there is something I can do to change.” Here are some affirmations to call in some good Pisces energy, as we "just keep swimming" through this ocean, :

I affirm:
I call in the highest vibration of Pisces
I am authentic yet imaginative
I am grounded yet spiritual
I am clearheaded yet dreamy
I flow and honor my intuition
I soak up divine guidance through every pore of my being
I shape-shift like a cosmic chameleon for my highest good and the highest good of all

"The Pisces symbol depicts two fish swimming in seemingly opposite directions, permanently connected by a cord.

The fish, swimming head to tail, are a sign of duality and yet the cord that joins them is a reminder that we are never separate—

There is always a bond, a thread of some kind that connects us all."
