All our progress is an unfolding, like the vegetable bud, you have first an instinct, then an opinion, then a knowledge, as the plant has root, bud and fruit. Trust the instinct to the end, though you can render no reason. ~ Emerson
There is something very beautiful unfolding and I am happy to show up in the process!
Winter begins to recede. Some of us barely had a winter but, nonetheless, plenty of time to feed upon our cache of nuts (nuts, in dream interpretation represent the ego which must be cracked open for the spiritual self to emerge). In some areas of the country gardens are being planted and signs of spring are showing up early. We watch as blossom after blossom slowly opens, showing at their centers delicate and vulnerable offerings to the constantly changing world of creation.
March is a month of opening windows to the renewed light and warmer air. It will become apparent how some qualities we experience in the dark do not survive the glare of the equinox sun. We shift with the light. We emerge from the shadow, lighter. This March requests that secrets continue to find their way into broad daylight. Best have a look at your astrological 12th house, its ruler (placement and aspects) and the placement and aspects to Saturn to see what issues will be emerging into sunlight in the next few weeks.
We will not easily tolerate stuff tucked away beneath the surface as we plunge our selves into deep self inquiry to divest our selves of dead weight. If you feel like you have spent years doing this already, well, it is a process that apparently continues throughout our lives. But the further one travels toward the center, where I am and always have been, what may or may not ‘be there’ as impediment becomes less and less a focus. The awareness of I AM supplants all other considerations. It no longer matters. You naturally ‘do’, whatever needs to be done to be true to self.
It was brought to my attention recently that due to various environmental factors—poor soil, stress, medications, processed foods—we may be a mineral deficient society. Three minerals were specifically mentioned as being candidates of our lack of dietary awareness—Selenium, Copper and Manganese. All three of these minerals play vital roles in our continued good health. Selenium and Copper are both anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Manganese contributes to nutrient assimilation. If Manganese is lacking–some sources say 1/3 of the American population is Manganese deficient due to diets of highly processed foods–the body may not be utilizing what Selenium and Copper is present.
Please see sources below for information about the benefits/deficiency of, and sources for, these minerals. Lack of these minerals can be responsible for: arthritis, heart disease, HIV, AIDS and some types of cancer allergies–mainly due to deficiency and weakening of the immune system. One must be careful with Selenium for example as too much can also be harmful. It would be advisable to find a source to measure mineral content in the body before proceeding.
Another environmental factor that is contributing to various health issues is solar flare activity. Scientists know that 2012 is a peak year in the sun’s 11 year cycle of activity. Solar flares are known to interrupt technological performance–there is concern about activity resulting in loss of cell phone use.
There is also an impact on our health which seems to attract less attention. “Solar activity is known to influence human consciousness. Solar flares affect the Central Nervous System, all brain activity (including equilibrium), human behavior patterns, and all of our psycho-physiological (mental/emotional/physical) responses.
Symptomatically, solar flares can cause us to feel nervous, anxious, worried, jittery, dizzy, irritable, lethargic, exhausted, nauseous, and queasy. Some people may become unusually forgetful, and others may experience heart palpitations. People may also endure periods of prolonged head pressure and headaches.”—from How Recent Solar Flares Are Affecting Us http://bit.ly/k8cgzj by naiaweb
This is a great article with various facts about solar flares and why, at this time, we are more affected than in the past. The Earth’s magnetosphere–the field which has protected the planet from such activity–begins to weaken or dissipate. What to do? Look after your self. Pay attention to what you eat, levels of stress and how you interact with the natural environment. We may not be these bodies but they are our home while we are here. It behooves us to take care of them to improve our overall experience here!
Three Cards for March
The Star: After choosing this card I am tempted to choose no more! Dreams come true. Goals attained. Visions materializing. Everything desired comes together in perfect timing as the ‘divine waters mingle with earthly waters’. If you can visualize it, you can create it!
The Knight of Cups: Finding fulfillment of our emotional dreams. Being open of heart and blessed with a creative awareness that allows for all things to be possible. The Knight of Cups is said to wear rose colored glasses which colors life in an unrealistic manner. It is this ‘manner’ however that may hold the key to the ‘real’ reality whilst the other suddenly becomes the illusion.
The Sun: Can we get any better than the Star? Well, the Sun energy will certainly stand upon equal ground. Enthusiasm, vitality, warmth, generosity and the confidence to shine your light! The Sun is an indication that the world is a wonderful place to be—beautiful, abundant, playful and a marvelous extension of I AM.
March is a time to envision, create and be aware of the light that shines from within; to take care of ourselves, not by becoming fanatical or limited, but by connecting with what flows naturally to us and then availing one self of all that is offered. In the beautiful balance of giving and receiving, we are open to the vibration and rhythm that is our true nature; not something we have to work to attain but to just notice that it has always been.
