Do the difficult things to do while they are easy and
do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.
Tips for almanac use: All the aspects can be felt in advance of the occurrence. It is good policy to view these as due dates for various energies and prepare accordingly for your context. It’s akin to bringing an umbrella with you when rain is expected, but it also helps us to not take the weather personally. When we proactively manifest these symbols then the world doesn’t have to do it for us. Choose to be con(with)-siderate(the stars).
May, where did you come from? Well, it’s a rather ultra mellow month, nothing much of any significance. The only big deal is the Uranus ingress on the 15th, which is HUGE and crazy exciting due to the change it promises. And then we have a dreamy Jupiter Neptune trine, who can complain about those. So, yeah, play along and grow your garden.
Mercury squares Pluto on the 7th at 1:49 am (pacific), frothing up the under layers of mental angst. As always, drive very carefully, and watch what you say and how you say it. People are prone to take things way too personally and seriously.
Venus squares Neptune on the 7th at 2:59 pm (pacific), suggesting another break from the brutality of reality. Music, dance, feasting, bathing, laughing. All the good things will help recharge our systems.
The Sun opposes Jupiter on the 8th at 5:39 pm (pacific), getting us thinking super big and aiming as high as possible. Dream the impossible dream and start practical plans and steps to achieve them. Step by step.
The Sun trines Pluto on the 11th at 4:07 pm (pacific), stirring up some self-identity issues. How can we refine and recalibrate how we see ourselves? This is especially helpful for getting rid of projections by others.
Mercury squares Mars on the 12th at 6:30 am (pacific), making for a dangerous day for driving and arguing. Let’s all play nice and instead work on winnowing down our thoughts and sharpening our tools.
Mercury conjoins Uranus on the 13th at 3:49 am (pacific), tossing crazy all over the place. Stay flexible, drive carefully, and be excited instead of anxious.

The New Moon is on the 15th at 4:48 am in 24 degrees of Taurus. This is a super mellow Lunation. It’s basically nothing except an excuse to do a self-renewal ritual. So ritual up.
Uranus moves into Taurus on the 15th at 8:23 am (pacific), where it will be for seven years, save for a few months this fall. FINALLY! We’ve been waiting. This is going to unfold for a long time so we’ll see what it does in the long run, but it’s sure to shake of financial systems big time and will probably bring a horrible natural disaster. It’s super exciting, well, not the natural disaster part.
Mars moves into Aquarius on the 15th at 9:55 pm (pacific), where it will stay for a crazy long time because of retrogradation. This will increase our urge to get out in the community and connect and work on improving the lot of the collective. Get idealistic again.
Mars squares Uranus on the 16th at 12:03 am (pacific), tossing everything up in the air for revision and challenging. Keep trimming down those plans and to-do-lists and keep working on staying excited and determined to persevere no matter what.
Mercury trines Saturn on the 18th at 9:49 am (pacific), busting out the measuring stick to see how far we’ve made it. As always, focus on the progress, not the remainder. Practice patience and respect.
Venus sextiles Uranus on the 19th at 10:29 am (pacific), stirring the pot once again. Do something exciting and unusual to channel this energy. Have fun with it. Redecorate the living room!
The Sun moves into Gemini on the 20th at 7:15 pm (pacific), starting another social season. We’ll all be tempted to reconnect with old friends and swap stories and play catch up. Talk it all out.

Mercury trines Pluto on the 25th at 6:36 am (pacific), asking us to trim down on the mental chatter and clean up those narratives. Of course, be careful with communications and people projecting their crap.
Venus opposes Saturn on the 25th at 11:40 pm (pacific), tempting us to be overly harsh on ourselves and financially paranoid. Instead, practice acknowledgment of progress and trust in our growth.
The Full Moon is on the 29th at 7:19 am (pacific) in 6 degrees of Sagittarius. This is also a ridiculously quiet Lunation. It’s basically just an excuse to do a ritual to draw in more abundance and adventure.
Mercury moves into Gemini on the 29th at 4:49 pm (pacific), prompting more and more social interactions for the next few weeks. Get out and reconnect with your people, call your siblings, and generally be chatty.
May, hopefully you’ll be super awesome and catapult us into brand new territory with vim and vigor. Dance to the rhythm.
