“Jennifer Freed’s ability to tap into an acute reading of the stars and their accompanying psychological impact is enormously intuitive, revelatory, and deeply helpful. She has honed her craft to a high art form and it is both a pathway and a liberation.”
~Eve Ensler, author of The Vagina Monologues and The Apology
“Jennifer Freed has helped me transform on every level and I know her offering will help you step into your power and align with your greatest gifts.”
~ Lauren Roxburgh, bestselling author and wellness educator
Jennifer Freed, local leader and world-renowned astrologer, has contributed so much to the Santa Barbara community. We admire her ground-breaking leadership in improving local schools, creating an award-winning program called AHA! for empowering young people and fostering their positive energy and engagement. Now she has brought out a brilliant, psychology-centered astrology book.
In both her astrology work and her leadership in local life, she aspires to inspire you to be your best Self, to help you grow and reach your fullest potential. Use Your Planets Wisely is a must read for those seeking answers to the tough questions in life.
“Who am I, really? What did I come here to do? Who am I in relationships?” A good therapist will help you answer these questions; so will a good astrologer. For the last 25 years, Dr. Jennifer Freed has combined her deep understanding of both these practices to deeply transform people’s lives.
If you think of yourself as simply a Virgo or a Pisces or a Capricorn, be prepared to expand your self-knowledge many times over. The knowledge in this book will give you a far more complete picture of your psychological and emotional blueprint.
In Her Own Words…
“When you are humming at your top vibration, you feel blissfully connected to everyone and everything. Your whole being embraces the truth: that you, and all of creation, are made of stardust and you are here to make a difference with your unique composition.
But so often, this state of bliss can seem unreachable, as this delicate hum gets drowned out and tamped down by the constant noise of unfounded fear, competition, separation, distraction, and hunger for mirroring you never seem to get. There, you forget to realize your true nature.
Many astrological teachings tend to reinforce this distrust of our inner knowing and interconnectedness, reducing our lives to inflexible scripts, soul soundbites, or stereotypes. They take away our free will, imposing rigid, fixed ideas of who we are and what we might become. This superstitious literalism cuts us off from the unlimited possibilities of partnership with the Divine.
My practice, on the other hand, is one of relational astrology, which understands that we are interdependent and interconnected constellations, just like planets and stars in the galaxy. We all glimmer with unique combinations of gifts and challenges. As an experienced psychotherapist I also recognize past influences and traumas and how they may impact our relational dynamics.”
