Be the One who says YES

YES is an enchanted password into a new world and new point of view. YES is a deep inhale and exhale; a full breath. An opening. A stretching of the soul beyond its boundaries. YES is a knowing that you can trust the forces of the Cosmos at play in your life.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
~Mark Twain [Samuel Clemens], Humorist, Essayist, Novelist

There’s a lot of talk about boundaries and about saying “no” when you need to.

And not much talk about the magical power of saying “yes.”

What I love about saying “yes” is the immediate expansion that overtakes the mind and the soul.

YES opens the door to unlimited possibilities and surprises. NO closes the door to potential and creates a barrier (and, sometimes a necessary one to keep us safe).

This is my ode to YES.

Y-e-s …
I can.
I love you.
I will do that.
I will try something new.
I will help.
I want more.

Imagine the doors that will open for you if you try on “YES” for a change.

Let the butterflies flutter in your stomach unencumbered. Let your body shake with nervous-citement.

Feel all the feelings of jumping into the unknown void of “who the hell knows what will happen?”

Lately, I’m often scared and unsure …  and I’m still a YES.

YES is an enchanted password into a new world and new point of view.

YES is a deep inhale and exhale; a full breath. An opening. A stretching of the soul beyond its boundaries.

YES is a knowing that you can trust the forces of the Cosmos at play in your life.

YES is almost always more fun than “no.”

What is one thing in your life you wished you’d said YES to?

I have too many to mention but in my youth (age 20-30) I said NO all the time and I really missed out on a couple of big things:

#1. I could have been the drummer of a Grammy nominated girl group.

#2. I could have gone to Thailand for free and stayed in a royal palace.

What do you wish you had said YES to 5, 10, 20 years ago?

Saying YES is risky business, too. Things don’t always go smoothly or turn out the way we think they will. But, more often than not, you’ll receive huge boons of confidence, joy, expansion and extreme GROWTH.

What do you want to say YES to now, but are holding yourself back from?

With love & luminosity,

Kris
