If you have seen Snatam Kaur in concert, then you know that GuruGanesha is a master guitar player and brings so much joy, exuberance and love to a performance. He is not only the man responsible for the founding of Spirit Voyage Records & Spirit Voyage Music but his energy is what drives any chant concert in which he is involved. We are excited to be bringing him to town once again!
GuruGanesha has a brand new CD—featuring Tina Malia—expected for release on April 19, entitled Kundalini Surjhee. We have loved every single CD of his past releases and look forward to this one! Malia is currently working on a new album scheduled for release later this year.
The beautiful and talented, Tina Malia, will be joining GuruGanesha this year in concert. Her exquisite voice and enchanting presence will keep you truly spellbound. Both her original singer/songwriter music as well as her chant singing offer a timeless, surreal experience that you don’t want to miss. Or, as best said in her own words:
I want to make music that gives people a little bit of comfort. It's a harsh world out there and if my contribution is to help people forget about that and remember something else for a moment, then that's what I'm going to do. The relationship that I have with music is otherworldly. My experience with music trumps any experience that I have on the physical plane. I don't know what else I would do if I wasn't doing music.
Malia has been compared to such legendary female artists as Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLaughlin, and Loreena McKennitt. I, for one, feel that this is absolutely true. Her CD, Shores of Avalon, though nearly a decade old, is still one of my favorite CDs off all time, not just within the genre of music that we sell here at Paradise Found.
