Con Te Partiro...Time to Say Goodbye...

At this exact moment, there is an intense polarity existing within me. After nine years with Paradise Found, I am off on a new adventure and with that, DJ Darren is retiring. (Unless I become an actual DJ!)

All at once, I am filled with excitement & wonder for the journey ahead while also feeling loss for what I am leaving behind; years as part of a creative, dynamic duo with Teresa, friendships made with a myriad of co-workers, (including those of the canine persuasion), the wonderful customers of Paradise Found, and the spirit of Paradise Found itself.

I have been thinking about this next step for almost a year, and now that the time is here I must admit that I am vastly unprepared for the emotional aspect in which I find myself. Paradise Found, and everyone I have connected with through working here, will be greatly missed.

On the bright side, we are off on an exciting new adventure. I see clear horizons ahead with unlimited potential. And, even though we are leaving, my husband's family is local to the area, so we will be back for regular visits. Even on the smallest of trips, a stay in Santa Barbara is not complete without a stop at Paradise Found!

Our imminent parting date is the end of March and my last day at Paradise Found is Saturday 3/28. I would love to see each & every one of you before I embark on the next step. Stop in for a moment to say hello & goodbye. And, take advantage of your last chance for a DJ Darren recommendation.

A couple of new CDs on the way to us as I write this: Elixer: Songs of the Radiance Sutras by Dave Stringer & Donna DeLory (what a combination!), Laughing at the Moon: A Collection of Classics from 1996-2005 by Krishna Das, (only $11.98!). On the way to us as soon as it is released, a brand new CD from Tina Malia, title and release date yet to be determinded! As always, all music is available to preview before purchase at our in-store listening stations. We are always happy to recommend our own fave's as well as to help you find that perfect new CD to add joy in your life.
