Gather and Celebrate!

This ritual is one.

The food is one.

We who offer the food are one.

The fire of hunger is also one.

All action is one.

We who understand this are one.

life is sharing

Greetings to our friends and community,The wheel turns and we arrive in November. It is time to gather and celebrate our abundance. Give thanks for the abundance of our land and for our food, clothes, shelter, and health—and for each other. It’s been a blink of a cosmic eye since most of us would have been engaged in communal harvesting. Around the globe the crop varies, but for many on this green earth that is still what harvest time looks like--communal. Shared work. Shared celebration. In this age of specialization, the work is divided up. The celebrations are often more private, but there are still many ways in which we can share in the harvest. Find one that suits you.We can affirm abundance by sharing our resources—our time, energy, or money. Two local organizations that would welcome you affirming your abundance of time, energy or money are the Organic Soup Kitchen and Backyard Bounty, a program of the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.Organic Soup Kitchen http://www.organicsoupkitchen.org/ is a non-profit organization providing wholesome food to members of our community that need it most.Backyard Bounty is a program of the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County that connects farmers and backyard growers with volunteers to glean fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. Glean with them. Food Bank http://www.backyardbounty.org/index.phpThank you for your open, generous heart and for fostering the healthy, vibrant community that we all share. Life is sharing.Blessings! Blessings! Blessings!Teresa, spirit of Thule, Tucker, Huxley and all at Paradise Found
