Just In...lovely little raku hearts

Lovely little raku hearts with small gemstone inset made by hand with love.

Each heart worked by hand, painted by hand, and then fired in an outdoor kiln to 2000 degrees. It is then pulled from the red-hot kiln and placed in a sand pit with wood chips. The intense heat of the raku heart causes the wood shavings to spontaneously combust. The hearts are covered and left to smolder. Only the strongest hearts survive the trial by fire.
