Greetings to our beloved friends and community,
The oldest viable carbon-14-dated seed that has grown into a plant was a Judean date palm seed about 2,000 years old, recovered from excavations at Herod the Great's palace on Masada in Israel.

The date palm seed inspires me--talk about tenaciously holding a vision and patiently waiting for alignment! This inspiration led me to an exploration of what long held internal dry seeds are patiently waiting within, and what are the conditions needed for their awakening?

Seed Woman by Pawel Jonka[/caption]
In my garden, a dry seed that I hold in my hand is asleep. To wake it up it, needs water (sprouts anyone?) or to plant them in the ground at the right time with some basic environmental conditions: water, oxygen, temperature and light. When planted, the seed dies, comes alive again and reproduces in abundance. What a miracle!
Perhaps the conditions needed for our internal seed awakening are just as simple; more fundamentally than we ever think. It’s a notion worthy of our exploration.
