"Love is the energizing elixir of the Universe, the cause and effect of all Harmony." ~ Rumi

I align myself with harmony and balance as I embrace the transformative energy of this Libra New Moon and Solar Eclipse.
I welcome change with grace, trusting that the shifts in my life will lead me to greater peace and equilibrium.
In this moment, I release what no longer serves my highest good and open myself to new beginnings rooted in love, balance, and clarity.

New Moon in Libra | October 2nd, 2024, at 11:49 am PT

“This eclipse and new Moon in Libra is a time to set intentions that prioritize yourself and recognize where you are giving too much of your energy or resources and not receiving the same in return. It’s also a time to decide what you need from others to feel supported, celebrated, and held in your journey.”

~Yoga Journal

“The New Moon is all about a new cycle, and the Libra New Moon is all about finding ways to reestablish balance that has been lost. Finding a sense of balance allows us to deal with life’s issues smoothly, and helps us to discover the peaceful neutral point from which clarity, common sense, and cooperation come from. Whether it’s in personal or business relationships, the influence of the Libra New Moon helps us see both sides of any story. This may also be the time when you initiate new relationship, or get a fresh start in an ongoing one. A New Moon in Libra will gently nudge you to hit the emotional reset button and start over so that you can look to the horizon with renewed anticipation.”

“Libra is the sign of balance, harmony, beauty, relationship, justice and peace. Libra is a cardinal sign, an action orientated, social sign that is here to initiate connection. Jupiter and the new moon sitting together in Libra tugs at the sleeve of our higher purpose. Can we be in search of the places where we come together, in deep reverence of our differences? Can we generously give to those that we are in partnership with? Can we rise above the fray of our fear and find some harmony here? Can we embody what love, peace and justice might look like? Can we find ways to open to the abundance of beauty that is life? Can we honor the profoundly spiritual path of being in partnership?”

Solar Eclipse

“The South Node in Libra highlights areas of your life where you’ve swallowed your truth to be polite, only to end up bleeding on the inside. This energy makes crystal clear when you are people-pleasing or doing things for the sake of making someone else happy, even when it  causes your own discomfort. Over the next eighteen months, the South Node in Libra and the Libra eclipses are opportunities to let go of indecisiveness and passive-aggressiveness. It’s time to stand in your truth instead of sidestepping it because you fear confrontation. This period is a time of decision, even if it means some people won’t like you. Start now to embrace the notion that not everyone will like you, and that’s ok. If you can accept this hard truth of life, you’ll easily navigate this transit.”

~Spirit Daughter

“The New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse is the final Eclipse in Libra for this cycle, as we won’t experience another one in this sign until 2033. This event invites radical changes in our relationships and relating patterns and sets in motion a drastic renewal of how we connect with others, of our expectations, of how we show up in our connections, of the choices we make, of the people we surround ourselves with. Taking place on the South Node of the Moon, conjunct Mercury, and square Mars, this Eclipse asks us to purge the old, release familiar habits, and let go of relationships that run their course to make space for new ones. It is an opportunity to embody a new version of ourselves and, as a result, welcome different kinds of people into our lives.”

Harmony & Balance Ritual: Altar Creation & Visualization

"Peace doesn’t come unless we are willing to lose the comforts that keep us from it."
~Chani Nicholas

In the times of the Libra new moon and accompanying solar eclipse on October 2nd, we are called to realign with harmony and balance in our lives. Creating an altar is a powerful way to honor this energy, serving as a sacred space to focus your intentions and visualize the equilibrium you wish to cultivate. Through this ritual, we’ll not only connect with the Libra essence of peace and beauty but also invoke the transformative power of the eclipse to bring lasting shifts in our inner and outer worlds.

Step 1: Gather Altar Items

To create a harmony and balance altar, choose items that symbolize peace, equilibrium, and connection. Consider incorporating the following:

  • Candles: Two candles of equal size to symbolize balance. Choose calming colors like white, pale blue, or pink.
  • Crystals: Rose quartz (for love and harmony), clear quartz (for clarity), amethyst (for spiritual balance), and selenite (for purification).
  • Flowers: Fresh flowers like roses or lavender to represent beauty and serenity.
  • Feathers or leaves: For lightness and the natural flow of life.
  • Balance Symbols: A pair of scales, or items that come in pairs (like stones, small figurines) to represent balance and duality.

Arrange these items in a symmetrical layout on your altar, ensuring everything is evenly placed to reflect harmony.

Step 2: Set Your Intention

Before you begin the visualization, sit in front of your altar and close your eyes. Hold your hands over the altar and take a few deep breaths. Set a clear intention for your ritual—something like: “I invite balance and harmony into my life. May all aspects of my being align with peace, love, and equilibrium.”

Step 3: Visualization

Light the candles on your altar and close your eyes. Imagine standing at the center of your life, with all the areas—work, relationships, self-care, health—surrounding you in a perfect circle. Visualize a gentle beam of light coming from above, connecting all these areas in a harmonious flow.

As you breathe deeply, imagine each aspect of your life coming into balance, as if the light is adjusting any unevenness. Feel yourself becoming more centered and aligned with each breath.

Move your body in a way that brings you into balance or signifies balance within.

Picture your relationships, inner emotions, and external life finding equilibrium. Any tension or imbalance is gently smoothed out by the light.

Step 4: Closing the Ritual

Once you feel a sense of peace, open your eyes. Offer gratitude to the energy you’ve invited in and blow out your candles. Leave the altar as a reminder of the balance you’re cultivating.

You can revisit this altar and visualization whenever you seek harmony and balance in your life.

May this Libra New Moon and Solar Eclipse delight your being with peace, beauty, harmony, and balance.
