I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.
~John Muir
Greetings to our friends and community,
With the long daylight hours of summer comes the feeling like I have all the time in the world and there is time to do everything. The gap between the "to do" list and the available time "to do" seems to fall away. There is, of course, the same amount of time each day but the illusion of it stretching out before one is lovely. I am so looking forward to splashing in waves, hiking trails, eating ripe berries warm from the sun right off the vine, reading under an umbrella, pottering in the garden—walking lightly on Gaia and drinking deeply.
And, as we go out, may we also go in, so that in the bright light of the season and the reveling in the beauty of place, we find that deep connection to the earth as self, not other. May our appreciation blossom into care and stewardship; may it lead to real leadership in resolving with swift grace and equitability the challenges of a planet impacted by human activity. In the summer induced relaxed state of mind where new solutions to old issues are more readily available, we have the opportunity to look forward and experiment with multi-pronged strategies to address the water needs and quality for all living in what truly is Paradise Found…
See you at the beach!Teresa, spirit of Thule, Tucker Huxley and all at Paradise Found
May you be like the water and become crystal clear May you be like the flower and open to the sunMay you be like the tree and reach for the skyMay you be you and freely shine your true nature
