The Muse/Evocateur: She who Inspires and Energizes Manifestation.
The way of the Muse is the way of Epiphany. (Epiphany is the sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something, apprehending its soul). The muse is a means of access to hearing and sensing the soul's voice.
The Muse is the pries/tess of the flame of creativity and her gateway is through spontaneity. In her transcendent function she represents metamorphosis of the soul, hence her association with the butterfly.
What cocoon have you woven yourself into that is keeping you in your tight little caterpillar form of creative restriction? Are you ready to go to a new jurisdiction, to break yourself free and spread your wings and fly?
The Muse aspect of the Goddess presides over dance, art, poetry, song, music, and acting. When we sing, dance, draw, or tell stories we are accessing the essence that lies beyond all masks.
The playfulness and spontaneity, delight and laughter of the Muse, inspires spontaneous insight and revelation of the Mystery. Her wisdom is born of innocence. She assists us in living in the moment encouraging us to listen with sensitivity thus opening up our receptivity and creativity.
Beauty is the means that inspires us to listen to her sweet voice on the inner planes. She is an inspirer of magic and a bridge to the Mystery. Her beauty opens hearts to the deepest feelings which spawn the magnificence of creation.
I PLAY…I INSPIRE
She is one who aligns with play as a way to connect with the Divine. She uses the power of play to get herself out of the way and to allow her unique divine creative expression a place to share her gifts.
PLAY is the practice ground of the emerging, evolving self. Play is not a luxury it is a means to spiritual freedom. For the time that we are playing, we suspend our need to be in control. Instead we delight; we wonder; we discover; we allow. We open our hearts. We feel and express authentically. We act spontaneously, outrageously, hilariously; without thinking we aren’t getting something of value in return.
Insights and awareness emerge; the most creative solutions have room to find a new perception; inspiration, intuition and guidance have a chance to creatively burst through our routinely prescribed modes of functioning.
How do laughter and humor fit into the evolution of our Divine consciousness?
Enlightenment has to do with lighten-ing up, not taking life so seriously!
To the Maya, humor was the hallmark of higher consciousness. Look at the Dalai Lama…always smiling, always laughing, playful & even cheeky!
HOW DO WE NOT TAKE OURSELVES SO SERIOUSLY?
By laughing at our reactions.
When we take ourselves too seriously we limit ourselves, our seriousness is a mind trap that stops the flow of divine inspiration and creativity.
Our innocence knows how to play, to let ourselves be silly & ridiculous, it knows how to invite the Holy Fool to come and play.
Nonsense, no-sense, sometimes makes the most sense!
Is there an aspect of your inner child's expression that is still contracted, uncomfortable or wants to change so that it can play more fluidly or is asking to be freed?
When we let our selves be carried away by the muse, wrapped in Her wonder, we begin to see beyond this limited reality and see a world of beauty and bliss.
Bliss Bubbles, Blessings us with Her sweet kiss of inspiration, vision, and creation.
Creativity takes a willingness to suspend the rational thought, to re-open, to wonder through the innocence of the perception of a one year old. A one year old expects nothing, knows nothing, resists nothing, and conceptualizes nothing. It is just open, curious, receptive, spontaneous, unpredictable…in short in an open state of expanded awareness.
What inspires your Muse?
Challenge from the Muse this Moon: Do something totally out of character, outrageous, spontaneous, novel. Allow and bring forward a part of you that you don't usually give expression to.
