On April 12th, the Full Moon rises in the velvet sign of Libra, the eternal balancer, the lover of beauty, the one who longs to lay down her sword and invite grace back into the room.
This is a moment when we fully integrate the intense eclipse energy of March and start to ground into equilibrium again. The dust has settled and the truth has been revealed.
During this pink moon’s lunar light, the sky leans in and whispers a deeply vulnerable question:
Where have you been hiding your heart?
The March Virgo Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, beckoned us into a deeply reflective solitude, activating the archetype of The Hermit, the ninth major arcana in the tarot:
Virgo’s esoteric ruler, a mystic guide who carries the lamp of inner wisdom. This card reminds us that the answers are within, waiting to be revealed in quiet contemplation.
The Hermit goes into silent stillness and contemplates. Meditates. Emerges with renewed spiritual insight.
This lunar culmination stirs yet deeper waters. We can’t stay inside our (self) protective sanctuary any longer; it has become a tower around us and particularly around our hearts. Healing must go beyond The Hermit’s integration … and, now we must focus on interaction.
To assist us in healing our heart, mind and emotions, this Full Moon opposes Chiron — the wounded healer — in Aries, while squaring Mars in the most protective of signs, Cancer. And just as the Moon reaches her fullness, Venus, ruler of the sign of Libra, stations direct in mystical, memory-soaked Pisces, poised like a sea queen gathering herself before stepping onto dry land.
This isn’t a Full Moon you just look at. It’s one that looks into you.
Libra calls upon her ally goddesses of justice and harmony — two in the form of asteroids Themis (#24) and Astraea (#5), alongside Ma’at, whose scales weighed the human heart against a feather at the time of death — each of them ancient symbols of divine order and beauty:
Themis means "divine law" rather than human ordinance, literally "that which is put in place", from the Greek verb títhēmi (τίθημι), meaning "to put." Themis is an earth goddess much like her mother, Gaia, and in some stories it is hard to tell the two apart. Some classical depictions of Themis show her holding a sword. She is also associated with the Oracle of Delphi. (Wikipedia)
Ma’at was also the goddess who … regulated the stars, seasons, and the actions of mortals and the deities who had brought order from chaos at the moment of creation. (Wikipedia)
Astraea, often referred to as “Star Maiden,” lived together with humans on earth during the idealistic Golden Age, when people were virtuous and no evil existed in the world. But as the human race became progressively crueler and more corrupt, Astraea decided to abandon humanity forever and live among the stars as the constellation Virgo.
The main belt asteroid 5 Astraea is named after her … (Wikipedia)
Beauty in the context of these goddesses doesn’t mean “prettiness”. It means truth.
The truth of how we relate.
The truth of what we avoid.
The truth of what we long for but are terrified to ask for.
And Chiron in Aries? He’s that ache in your chest that says: You were made to stand tall. You were born to love, even if it hurt before. Especially if it hurt before. His wound is the orphan wound. The exile. The one who had to grow strong alone — and is now scared to let anyone touch the soft center of all that strength.
Add to that Mars in Cancer, curled up in his shell, lashing out before anyone can get too close.
No wonder we’ve become guarded. The man or woman in the tower. Protecting our hearts like they’re ancient treasure.
And yet — Jupiter in Gemini whispers through the window:
Connection is possible. Healing is not only real, it’s revolutionary.
At this Full Moon in Libra, meditate on each of these cards to activate the archetypal field of resonance within you.
With her sword and scales, Justice is the high priestess of equilibrium — not the kind that avoids conflict, but the kind that slices through illusion. She is Libra embodied: clear-eyed, fair-minded, and willing to look at what’s really going on behind the performance of peace. Under this Full Moon, Justice reminds us that relationships thrive not on perfection, but on truth. It’s time to take responsibility for the roles we’ve played, the patterns we’ve allowed, and the boundaries we’re now brave enough to re-write.
Not just a card of romance — but also of the sacred split and the call back to wholeness. This is the Aries-Libra paradox in its full glory: Me and You. I and Thou. Choosing with open eyes. This is the dance of opposites: where the call to autonomy meets the longing for connection. Love becomes a choice, not a compulsion. A sacred act, not a sacrifice.
The Star pours healing into the places we were once too afraid to touch. The benediction after the storm. The promise that vulnerability isn’t weakness — it’s the very channel through which grace flows. This is where Chiron becomes the teacher, not the victim.
“The Tower & The Mirror”
We honor this moon not by seeking perfection in our relationships, but by becoming present to them. Not by solving every dynamic, but by softening to what they reveal.
This Full Moon is the culmination of seeds planted back on October 2, 2024, under the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra. Whatever began then — a relationship, a decision, a boundary, a vulnerability — now reaches clarity, a peak, a reckoning.
But remember: Libra doesn't demand perfection.
Libra wants poetry.
Libra wants honesty wrapped in rose petals.
Libra wants you to stop ghosting your own heart.
So take off the armor.
Let the scales tip in favor of connection.
And choose to love again — with your whole mythic self.
