This little light of mine, I'm gonna' let it shine

Seasons Greetings to our friends and community,

life-is-a-gift

This little light of mine, I'm gonna' let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!

As we move toward the Winter Solstice I begin reflecting on and wrapping up the past 11 months. I notice that among the many miracles and gifts, there was definitely some shake, rattle and roll happening, both personally and collectively. There was some breath holding, some teeth gnashing, and yes, a few moments of despair. Maybe there was for you as well.

In stillness, the breath returned and I moved out of shock into empowerment. I kept moving. I looked for inspiration and found it all around me. I discovered an inviolable, indestructible core. A core that remembered that I have a mission to hold space for peace, love and good vibes; that I have a commitment to celebrate beauty, truth and goodness; and that I am willing to stand up and let my let shine even more brightly. I found support, and offered support, in keeping the vibration high.  Despair and fear are contagious. Love and light are contagious. I remembered to choose. I remembered that setbacks can be brilliant set ups to greater transformation.

One place I found inspiration was with the staff at Paradise Found. Moorea (you can read her crystal article every month in the newsletter) is taking a college persuasive speech class and in writing her speech for her class final, she did the research and was then called to go beyond and take action by creating a petition to ban synthetic, single-use plastic water bottles from Ventura County. You can read about her project and join in: https://www.change.org/p/ventura-city-council-ban-on-synthetic-plastic-water-bottles?recruiter=627158735&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=share_for_starters_page&utm_term=des-md-no_src-no_msg

Inspired! Values, commitment, action. Brilliant!

So, with spirits high and resolve firm I look forward to a joyous holiday season with my family, friends and community. We invite you to share in the peace, love and good vibes with us!

Who you are matters. What you do matters. Be the spark.

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.
