Chamber Music by Sissoko & Segal—One of my favorite new CDs in the store, a marvelous collaboration of classical and indigenous. This CD is from an acclaimed European cellist, Segal, and a notable African musician, Sissoko, known for his work on the Kora, a harp-like stringed instrument. “The sound of a kora resembles that of a harp, though when played in the traditional style, it bears a closer resemblance to flamenco and delta blues guitar techniques.” Do check this CD out.
