108 Sacred Oms—A brand new CD by Valley of the Sun, the creators of our best-selling Om CD, Eternal Om. Listen to the sound of ocean waves while Tibetan monks strike a gong 108 times and follow each tolling with the sacred sound of Om. One hour in length.
All is Well—For those of you familiar with Hans Christian’s beautiful and haunting cello melodies as well as anyone who attended the Tina Malia and GuruGanesha Concert back in May, you know his music is incredible. The improvisation and looping makes for a CD you don’t want to pass up.
Aurora—A new CD to us by Christopher of the Wolves—creator of one of my favorite CDs in the store—Reiki Healing Music. If you like the Hang drum, or have yet to discover it, come on in and check out this CD!
Awakened Earth—The newest in a line of successful CDs by the talented couple comprising Mirabai Ceiba. As always, both the melodies and the vocals are exquisite and keep you coming back for more.
Drum Cargo: Rhythms of Water—The unstoppable Gordon Brothers are back with yet another great drumming CD. Their best by far, I feel. The soft and sensuous overtones of water infiltrate this CD, making for a gentler side of drumming but one with still enough passion to keep those fires burning.
Egypt Unveiled—Egyptian music is one of my fave genres of ethnic music and Phil Thornton and Hossam Ramzy never disappoint. This lively music with Middle Eastern/North African beat creates a many-splendored mood and will keep you dancing all night.
Enchanted Island—A truly incredible mix Jack Harrison; Latin and Tibetan chants all sung by an Irish Gaelic choir! What a fascinating combination…I heard a mere 30 seconds before I was hooked!
From Night to the Edge of Day—Right in line with Egypt Unveiled, the Persian chanteuse, Azam Ali, always delights with a mesmerizing array of Middle Eastern music. Exceptional singing, exceptional music, exceptional devotion.
Infinite Heart—The newest CD by Ashana. Another melodic mix of sacred chant and crystal singing bowls. My fave song on this album: Om Tare.
Mysterious Duality—Jayanthi Kumaresh plays the rare and amazing Hindustani stringed instrument known as the veena. Absorb the expression of Self, the reflection of One, fall into the ceaseless rhythm and thoughts in this ‘musical allegory of the individual’.
Oasis—Woodwind master, Gary Stroutsos, brings us yet another compelling flute CD. Enjoy the deep sense of calm and meditation his music arouses.
Reiki Om—Another homerun by Dean and Dudley Evenson. This flute CD with touches of the Far East also has viola, bass, harp, tamboura, singing bowls, silver flute, alto flute, keyboards and the guzheng, a 21-string Chinese zither.
Return of the Tiger—James Asher’s newest CD highlighting the music and rhythms of Cuba. Including keyboards, drums, percussion, acoustic guitar, bazouki, pentatonic bells, congas, didgeridoo and vocals, this is another great new CD perfect for movement practices and power yoga.
Truth of Touch—After almost a decade long absence from the musical world, Yanni returns with Truth of Touch. Yanni was a pioneer in New Age music and partially responsible for changing the genre to how we know it today. His signature mixing of world beat with orchestral arrangements and his gifted piano playing bring a sense of the dramatic making his music both pleasing and inspiring.
Wind, Rock, Sea and Flame—The talented Peter Kater is back! Wind, Rock, Sea and Flame comprises of 4 fifteen minute songs blending piano, cello, soprano saxophone, acoustic bass, warm synth pads and whale song to encapsulate the 4 elements. Simply beautiful.
