Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse May 24th/25th, 2013 @ 4 degrees Sagittarius9:25 p.m. PDT 0:25 a.m. EDT
The chessboard is the world, the pieces are the phenomena of the universe, the rules of the game are what we call the laws of Nature. The player on the other side is hidden from us.--Thomas Huxley
We wander about in search of something invisible, elusive when it is right here, not even as far away as ‘in front of us’. What is it that obscures this truth from us? Our love of the physical and attachment to a world that is temporary? A thought perhaps, that when it is gone ‘I’ no longer exist; a great fear of death/annihilation. What we long for is freedom from our fears. The resolution to our ‘dilemma’ lies in the unknown region that we have managed, most of us, to avoid for a long time even though it is right here and now and always. As the Full Moon will be obscured for a few hours to those inhabiting the night side of the Earth there will be a subtle motivation to explore, not that which is reflected to us but that which does not exist external to one self. The aspects affecting this Full Moon and assisting us to wake up, are quite simple. Neptune squares the Sun/Moon with one degree 12 minute separation. Saturn trines Neptune, 57 minutes separation.Neptune is the star! We should celebrate its power to entrance and mystify us; to take us to the unknown in a way that is highly enjoyable and then ultimately to leave us wondering about that which eludes us, am I not “that”? Neptune has been described as the planet of illusion, delusion, deception. Why is that? And why to some, does Neptune feel as though it holds the answer to our deepest question—who am I? Neptune rules Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac where we transcend physical limitations i.e. our attachment to what we believe to be true—I am this body, mind; that we are temporary or subject to change. Neptune ultimately may bring us through confusion to clarity but in a way that does not include the thought process. How do we interpret this t-square, Sun/Moon Neptune when the thought process is heavily favored—Sun in Gemini (also Mercury, Venus and Jupiter) and Moon in Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter in Gemini? There are several different interpretations that range from most illusive to clearest. In the individual chart the way in which you will be influenced will depend on placement of natal Neptune and aspects to it—what you are playing with this particular go round. For the collective influence we take into consideration the Lunar Eclipse that drives the energies inward turning about the finger that has the tendency to point elsewhere. Playing the victim card is no longer available to us. That is number one. I am that guy that I blame or project my stuff onto and we are all here doing our best along the way. We can no longer deny responsibility for our actions. Part of the process of waking up is realizing that no matter what I project onto whomever, it is all me. The clarity that Neptune offers in this Full Moon dynamic is that knowing—first that I am nothing and then that I am everything. This becomes obvious. In the darkness of this Full Moon we will perceive the greatest light—the revealing of the truth that cannot be described with words—I am “that”—“that”.There will undoubtedly be moments of challenge, being faced with fears and the loss of beliefs that have guided and supported you. You may wake up in the morning and feel strangely detached from what previously had defined you—job, relationship, family. If there is space don’t rush to fill it. Let the space become you. Allow your self to float through the day unperturbed and abiding in inner peace as there is nothing to inform you otherwise. You know no concern or care. There is nothing you need do or accomplish or succeed at, that causes suffering—as it does not matter, it makes no difference to the absolute that is always. It cannot be added to, subtracted from. It cannot be more, better or different—it is simply perfect and as I am “that”, perfection is then known as the natural state.Saturn trine Neptune keeps us on task in a way that does not engage the mental faculties. The great depths of the water signs Scorpio and Pisces explore the unseen, that which may only be reached when our familiar experience (Saturn) is seen to be an illusion. Saturn in Scorpio represents for most people unexplored territory. None-the-less limitations, patterns that are habitual will be confronted.Venus conjunct Mercury is a most sociable and pleasant pairing that normally would have us flitting about like proverbial butterflies. We may be thankful for this aspect and Gemini in general here as it keeps us curious and relatively unattached to the ‘grinding away’ that is taking place from various angles. Dentists play the most serene music as they involve themselves with the eradication of decay or distract their patients with cartoons or other scenery on a big screen. We may not choose to be too distracted however. The fact that the Black Moon Lilith exactly conjuncts Mercury/Venus (all are 19 degrees Gemini) casts a shadow upon what is usually free and full of fancy. In the shadow of Lilith we will be faced with annihilation, non-existence and therefore the freedom to be ‘as we truly are’. The BML is a point not a planet or an asteroid, where the Moon’s shadow ends, when it is at the furthest distance from the earth. In Gemini our experience is of this vortex, place of emptiness, silence prevails. (There is a great book by non-dual teacher Adyashanti called ‘Emptiness Dancing) The Moon in Sagittarius kindles the fires of our passion to discover the truth that lies at the core of our inherent being. During these few days enjoy what comes to you. There is nothing to analyze or scrutinize. Judgment is a projection and whatever I think I know, may not be the truth. Everyone’s opinion has relevance and everything is perfect! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Our experience here is one of delight or should be when we realize that the suffering has been the result of the perception that something should be a certain way. Jupiter, ruler of the Moon’s sign here is at 22 degrees, 44 minutes Gemini. Inherent in this master number combination is the knowing of the nature of duality (22) that leads one to awakening to unicity and the manifestation of “that” here and now (44).There are no coincidences.Continuing to undermine the reality that we believe to be true is the ongoing relationship between Pluto and Uranus that happen to be in exact square at this time. More diminishing and dismantling. If an archer stands at 77 yards from the target in competition imagine that distance has just been cut in half. We’re getting a big leg up here that means there really is nothing to do. It is all happening in perfection so we may as well have fun! And this is a permanent fix. Mars in Taurus, slow and steady and ‘once I get it I don’t forget’ especially and conveniently coupled with Pallas Athena where inherent wisdom dominates rather than thought patterns that have been generated through human experience that has no basis in intrinsic reality.Essentially we may all rest in peace and that comes as a result of non-identification with whatever you have believed to be true about the self. Liberation is freedom from this attachment.“This is where the misconception lies; thinking that you are an entity who must achieve something so that you can become like the entity that you think I am! This is the thought that constitutes 'bondage', identification with an entity — and nothing, absolutely nothing, other than dis-identification will bring about 'liberation'—Nisargadatta Maharaj Thank you for your presence.*An interesting Film=Kumare by Vikram Gandhi
