Hello Spring! Goodbye Darren!

Greetings to our friends and community,

Winter fades. Spring is on its way. A cycle ends. A cycle begins. And, all right here before us this miraculous unfolding happens.

Nine years ago , when then staff Kendra Rose Hunter was going to be moving back to Hawaii there was that day when she told me a young man came in and that I was going to want to meet with him. There was a prophetic twinkle in her eye and a raised eyebrow and I took note of the communication within the communication. Well, Kendra had truly seen--that young man was Darren Campbell. In short order, Darren became my co-conspirator and collaborator in keeping the peace, love and good vibes flowing here at PF.

At the end of March and now nine years later, Darren and his husband Brandon are sprouting spring wings and flying off to Portland, Oregon to create a new life cycle and new adventures together. Of course, it takes a team to create and sustain PF, so Darren has been working with the awesome Jessica and Shandi to insure that the peace, love and good vibes flow and grow as we at PF both end and begin a new cycle. I both honor what has been and look forward with anticipation to what will be with my new collaborators.

I could sing Darren’s praises and express my appreciation day and night from now until eternity and still not be done. So, I will simply say I cherish our relationship, his contribution both professionally and personally, and the time we have been together filled with so much laughter amidst the work. I could sum up the most fabulous thing for me about Darren is that he is a big, giant YES to life. A deep bow.
