With all our love and admiration, we give a big shout out to Seven Seas Press. They are a local non-profit publishing company whose mission is: To create and publish books for children that uplift, inspire, nurture and comfort in a tumultuous world, and to donate them where and when we can.

With each book launch they have partnered with other non-profits serving children who might not have access to books of their own. This fall, they are partnering with Head Start and Storyteller Children's Center in Santa Barbara. Paradise Found wholeheartedly invites you to support getting inspiring books into the hands of young ones who might not have access to books of their own by supporting this campaign!

"We at Seven Seas Press have donated and shipped hundreds of books all over the world, to places like: Border Angels in Mexico, Crete for Life in Greece, Annunciation House in Texas, El Otro Lado in CA (all refugee and immigrant camps); Hurricane relief centers, school shooting sites, Red Cross and other organizations providing fire/flood relief.

Most recently we donated 50 copies of The Little Blue Dragon and La Dragoncita Azul to Artesanias Para Las Familias in Carpinteria. We donated our 2019 book, Mermaid Dreams, to the girls at Girls Inc., and The Little Blue Dragon to the Boys and Girls Club.

About the Author

Colleen McCarthy-Evans is an award-winning writer, illustrator and board game inventor. A lifelong seeker of truth, her world view has been strongly influenced by the many wisdom cultures of the world. She’s a co-founder of the Santa Barbara Charter School (est.1993), whose mission it is to teach Conflict Resolution along with Academics and the Arts. She lives in Santa Barbara, California with her husband and dog, loves to practice and teach Kundalini Yoga, and enjoys being in and out of the garden with her two grown sons, family and friends.
