New Sandalwood Lotus Bracelets

soulku | products we love

Sandalwood has been used in religious and social ceremonies for almost ever. It's used to facilitate meditation, move through the stages of grief, and encourage creativity. It's also used as a pick me up in cases of depression and as a stress reliever for those of us who tend toward anxiety.Soulku's new Lotus collection bracelets were made in partnership with Mahima Creations – abandoned widows in India who hand-carve each delicate sandalwood bead and live together in an ashram. Your purchase helps to empower them by providing jobs, hope, and opportunity to start again. They are known as "The Women of Vrindavan." The bracelets are then decorated with a sterling silver lotus charm - a reminder that out of deep, dark mud, comes a beautiful lotus blossom.

"No mud, no lotus."

~ Thich Nhat Hanh.
